Match Highlights.
Pak’s batting.
India won the toss & elected to bowl first. Their decision proven correct when Arshdeep Singh got wicket of world no. 1 batsman on the first ball of his first over. This was debut match of Arshdeep Singh .In the next over he got wicket of Rizwan also, so this was collapse of Pakistan opening.
Pakistan added 80+ runs for 3rd wicket partnership & this was the only plus point for them in 1st inning. Mohammad Sami broke this partnership. later no big partnership was made & innings was closed at 159/8. From India side Hardik & Arshdeep took 3 wickets each. India got a target of 160 runs for win.
Indian Batting.
The target was showing very small & easy to achieve. But opening of Indian inning was worse than Pakistan team. India los their 4 top order batsman on a small total of 30 runs. KL Rahul was fail & out by making only 4 runs. Rohit Sharma was also got out on 4 individual score. The magic of Suryakumar also not worked he also out on small score. Team management sent Axar Patel on no. 5 but he got run out.
Partnership between Hardik & Kohli.
Hardik Pandya & Virat Kohli done their work very well. They were able to save the wicket.
They were able to save the wickets but required run was increasing in every over. India team completed their 100 runs in the 15th over. after 15th over score of team India was 100/04. Only 12 runs could be added more on next 12 balls. in the last 3 overs India required 48 runs.
Over 18, 19 & 20.
these 3 overs were the most interesting part of the game. Initially no one was predicting that India can win this match but 2 sixes by Virat Kohli on the last 2 balls of 19th over turned this match towards India. India required 16 runs in the last 6 balls of the match. The first ball of 20th over turned the match in the Pakistan’s favor again when Hardik Pandya lost his wicket. Dinesh Karthik was the next batsman who took single on the next ball. Virat took 2 runs on the next ball. Now India team needed 13 runs on the last 3 balls.
